I’m testing some new mobile options for our hosting clients that will see all hosted web sites soon enjoying full flexibility when it comes to a mobile version of each web site. I’m testing a common theme to accompany our automated switcher (which automatically detects mobile devices and switches to a pre-installed mobile theme). You can, of course, use your own mobile theme (just let us know how to get a copy of it).
Of course, if you don’t have your own mobile theme, you don’t have to do anything. The new mobile theme will be installed on your hosting solution, complete with an appropriately adjusted version of your web site’s logo. Nothing will change in how you post to your web site. This only affects the end-user. So… no worries!
We look forward to deploying this solution for our clients who are concerned about migrating to the coming mobile-based Internet. 10-15% of all of the traffic on our servers is already via mobile devices, and experts predict that mobile Web use will explode in the next few years. With PC’s in danger of becoming relics, it’s best to be ready for the possibility, right?
